About the Opportunity
 TalentBase is hiring on behalf of a prime aerospace and defense contractor to support the U.S. Navy’s F/A-18 and EA-18G Fleet Support Teams (FST) at Naval Air Station North Island in San Diego, CA. This role plays a vital part in sustaining mission readiness by delivering precise and proactive Business Financial Management (BFM) support to one of the Navy’s most important aviation programs.
As a Budget Analyst, you’ll work alongside program leads and cross-functional teams to drive financial accuracy, forecast funding needs, and shape the strategic planning efforts that directly impact the FST’s ability to execute its mission.
What You’ll Do
- Provide full-spectrum financial management support, including budgeting, auditing, forecasting, and analysis
- Track and process funding documentation, coordinating with FST leadership and sub-teams
- Conduct financial risk assessments and contribute to strategic business planning
- Support the development and analysis of cost estimates, budget marks, and acquisition documentation
- Maintain accuracy within Navy ERP and perform recurring metrics and workload reports
- Apply comprehensive knowledge of DoD financial systems, FMR, FAR, and PPBE processes
What You Bring (Required)
- 3–10 years of relevant experience in Financial Management or Accounting
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Management, or a related technical discipline
- Familiarity with Department of the Navy procurement policies and Navy ERP
- Experience supporting federal programs or DoD contracts
- Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills
- Must hold an active Secret clearance
Location & Work Environment
- Onsite role at Fleet Readiness Center Southwest (FRCSW)
- Office setting; must be able to sit or stand for extended periods
- No per diem; local candidates preferred
- Minimal travel, if any
