The Gap isn’t Talent.

It’s Structure.

Employers aren’t struggling to find capable people. They’re struggling to assess readiness, alignment, and long-term fit before making a hire. What’s often missing is a shared structure that translates strengths into expectations—and connects those expectations directly to opportunity.
Veterans CareerBridge closes that gap by aligning preparation, evaluation, and employer access—creating a clear bridge from service to employment before hiring decisions are made.

A Structured Path From Preparation to Performance

CareerBridge makes hiring decisions clearer—by aligning preparation, evaluation, and access before an offer is extended.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

  • What is Veterans CareerBridge?

Veterans CareerBridge is a structured workforce pathway that connects employers with veterans and military-connected talent through professional development, employer alignment, and supported work-based learning. The program helps employers evaluate talent in real-world roles before making long-term hiring decisions.

  • What types of employers participate?

CareerBridge works with public-sector, private-sector, and nonprofit employers across a range of industries. Participating employers typically have recurring hiring needs and are interested in building a reliable, values-aligned talent pipeline.

  • What is the employer’s commitment?

Employers commit to hosting participants in structured, role-aligned work-based learning opportunities (typically 8–12+ weeks), providing meaningful work, and evaluating performance and fit. Employer commitments are outlined through a non-binding partnership agreement and may vary based on cohort structure and funding model.

  • Are employers required to pay wages?

Compensation structures vary by cohort. In some cases, wages or work-based learning costs may be offset through public workforce funding (such as WIOA/WEX), while in others employers may pay wages directly. CareerBridge works with employers to align participation with applicable funding options and compliance requirements.

  • Is there a guarantee of full-time hire?

No. Veterans CareerBridge is designed to reduce hiring risk—not mandate hiring outcomes. Employers evaluate participants during the program and make hiring decisions based on performance, role fit, and business needs.

  • How are participants prepared before placement?

Participants complete over two weeks of structured professional development prior to employer matching. This includes workplace readiness, interview preparation, and enrollment in industry-aligned certification training when appropriate and role-aligned.

  • What support does CareerBridge provide employers?

CareerBridge manages program coordination, participant preparation, ongoing check-ins, and issue resolution throughout the work-based learning period. This allows employers to focus on business operations while maintaining confidence in participant support and oversight.

  • Are certifications included in the program?

Certification training and exam support may be included when aligned to employer roles and participant pathways. Certifications are selected based on employer demand and program focus—not all roles require credentials.

  • How does CareerBridge support workforce incentives?

CareerBridge aligns with available workforce incentives, including public funding opportunities and tax credits, when applicable. Eligibility and availability depend on participant qualifications, employer structure, and program design.

  • Who funds Veterans CareerBridge?

Veterans CareerBridge is supported through a combination of employer participation and public workforce funding.
